Inter Milan eye loan of Chiesa from Liverpool to Italy in January

Inter Milan are reportedly keen to bring Liverpool and Italy striker Federico Chiesa back to Serie A in the January transfer window.

The player only moved to England from Juventus this summer but has yet to fully shine due to injury problems.

However, Chiesa, who has only played 78 minutes for Liverpool since joining in August, has emerged as a key target for the Nerazzurri, with ยูฟ่าเบท reporting that Inter are planning to negotiate a loan move for the player until the end of the season in a bid to bolster their attacking options and add more variety to their attacking options for the second half of the campaign.

Liverpool manager Arsene Wenger has previously spoken about Chiesa’s situation, saying that missing out on pre-season action was a major factor affecting the player’s adaptation to the Premier League, which has a higher intensity than the Italian league.

The Dutch coach continued: “Although the team is trying their best to help him, recovery and a return to form will take time and continuous opportunities on the pitch.”

However, a decision on Chiesa’s future will depend on talks between Liverpool and Inter Milan during the upcoming transfer window.
