Manchester City’s surplus midfielder Kalvin Phillips is still on the market. And has been snapped up on a season-long loan by Premier League new boys Ipswich Town.

Manchester City ‘s surplus midfielder Calvin Phillips is still a name that can be sold. The latest is that Ipswich Town, the new Premier League team, has acquired him on a 1-year loan contract. Fabrizio Romano, a famous journalist, has stamped the HERE WE GO! stamp on him.

Romano says: “Calvin Phillips joins Ipswich Town HERE WE GO! An agreement has been reached between the two clubs as the player prepares to undergo a medical.”

“This loan move from Manchester City does not include an option to buy at a later date, according to ยูฟ่าเบท preliminary agreements.”

“Phillips is ready to sign today if everything goes according to plan,”

The 28-year-old midfielder was signed by Pep Guardiola from Leeds United for £42m+3m in 2022. But has struggled to find form at City and has been plagued by injury problems.

Phillips spent last season on loan at West Ham United but was largely underwhelming, making just 10 appearances for the Hammers and failing to secure a permanent move.

For Ipswich, who were promoted back to the top flight for the first time in 22 years. The earliest match of the new Premier League season will be against Liverpool this Saturday, but it is expected that Kieran McKenna, the White Horse coach, will not use Phillips in the starting 11 at full capacity and will likely start on the bench.
